BUFFALO RIVER SERIES FROM SEPTEMBER 2013 TRIP

I decided that I wanted to visit the Buffalo River in mid September as that is normally great hiking weather.  The trees have not yet turned, but the evenings are warm enough to sit out on a country front porch and enjoy the moonrise and deer crossing the road.  The night frogs and crickets are still singing.  I reserved a cabin about a month ahead near Steel Creek which is where Mike Kornblum, Cindy Kopenhafer, De Munden, Lyn Pharris, Charli Stout, and I wanted to paint for 2-3 days.  I reserved the Walnut Grove Cabin (http://walnutgrovecabins.com), and this was a great sportsman's cabin with wonderful views of the Buffalo River valley and historic buildings from its large front porch.  Definitely will be going back.

Here are some on-location sketches of my Buffalo River trip.  I want to produce larger pieces of at least 2-3 of these.
